How to Setup the Dashboard
In this article we will go over how to set up and use the Dashboard. Dashboards that are used to display a number of different widgets that are available for data analyzation displaying performance indicators as well as providing a user quicker navigation throughout Savance Enterprise.
Adding the Dashboard and Dashboard Widgets
- By default the system will display a message indicating “There are no widgets on this Dashboard.”
- To begin a user can navigate to the Customize menu on the right hand side and Add Dashboard.
- A pop-up will appear asking the user to enter a Dashboard Name.
- Note that multiple dashboards can be created, each one containing different widgets.

Once the name has been entered a user will navigate back to the Customize Menu and choose what type of widget to add onto the newly created dashboard. In this example, we will start by adding Navigation.

The Navigation Widget allows a user to quickly access different areas of the system. A user can adjust the size of the widget by selecting the bottom right corner and adjusting it to the appropriate dimensions.
- Multiple widgets can be added to the board. By navigating to the **Customized Menu** a user can add another.

Quick Item Lookup - widget that will allow a user to quickly view product information without having to navigate to the item manager screen.

With the next widget added a user can click on the top header of the widget and drag and drop the widget to the desired position and then adjust the size at the bottom right as needed.

Recently Opened - widget will allow users to quickly access recently opened Quotes, Orders, Purchase Orders, etc. by clicking on the orange hyperlinked number

Calendar widget - can be used to keep track of user events and tests.
- Some widgets are larger analytical widgets that may need a Dashboard page of their own. Simply create a new Dashboard, name it, and add that widget for instance Manual Purchasing that is discussed in another Knowledge Base article
- Lastly, to remove a widget a user can navigate to the three dots at the top of a widget. select the three dots and select remove. The system will ask for confirmation that you are looking to delete that widget.
